DirectAir Returns with Passenger Service to Rickenbacker
COLUMBUS, OHIO – DirectAir, a Myrtle Beach, S.C., based air service provider, resumes nonstop flights from the Rickenbacker Charter Terminal to Myrtle Beach on Wednesdays and Saturdays beginning May 20. “DirectAir is eager to return to Columbus with our nonstop public charter service,” said Ed Warneck, DirectAir President. “The Columbus community was very responsive to our previous Myrtle Beach flights and DirectAir looks forward to serving them once again. We are going to be very aggressive with our promotional efforts to ensure a successful stay in Columbus.” The airline, whose motto is “When time matters, GO DIRECT,” is offering $79 introductory one-way fares. Normal fares begin at an affordable one-way price of $99. The Saturday flights depart the Rickenbacker Charter Terminal (LCK) at 9:45 a.m., arriving Myrtle Beach (MYR) at 11:15 a.m. and then continues on to Orlando-Sanford (SFB). The Wednesday flight originates in SFB, proceeds to MYR, arriving LCK at 9:00 a.m. “The Columbus Regional Airport Authority is thrilled that DirectAir will once again be operating from the Rickenbacker Charter Terminal with nonstop service to such a popular golf and vacation retreat for many Central Ohioans,” said David Whitaker, Vice President of Business Development and Communications for the Authority. “We are very pleased that DirectAir chose to reinvest their resources in our community.” Flights may be booked at www.visitdirectair.com.
